During my early years I experienced real estate success by watching my immigrated Italian grandparents. My ancestry is Italian and Irish, Dad was 100% Italian and Mom was 100% Irish. Papa Joe and Nonni built a real estate portfolio of 40 units. Their real estate success left an indelible impression upon me.

At the age of 15 I started to work and train in the restaurant industry. I worked at Marie Calendars, McDonalds, Round Table Pizza, Grampa Meyers (an independent but founded by a Marie Callendar’s general manager) and Togo’s to name franchises that provided me intricate marketing and operating systems knowledge. I matured to understand the importance of systems and their role in becoming a successful business person.

From 1979 to 2005 I dedicated my life to either working in the family business or as a separate owner-operator. Being self employed and responsible for all aspects of a successful business teaches one critical thinking, consummate negotiating skills and a tireless work ethic that benefits each and every customer/client.

In 1994 I obtained my sales agent license and began working with ERA Carlson (a franchisee of ERA). In 1997 I left ERA and licensed under Michael T Thomas of Thomas & Associates. During this time I earned my Broker’s license after completing the Division of Real Estate’s education and production requirements. The next 12 years I worked as an ‘Associate Broker’ gaining credible professional experience.

After years of dealing with national chain real estate companies in numerous transactions, the decision came easy. In January 2010 I did two things. First, I became a Principal Broker. Second, I established my own on-board brokerage “Pristine Property of the West”. As Principal Broker of an independent brokerage I have the freedom to create the absolute BEST marketing products and operating systems for, YOU, my client.

I am committed to excellence! During my 29+ year real estate career I have earned many credible National Association of Realtors and industry designations. The highest being the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) residential practitioner designation. My accomplishments rank me in the top 3% of all Realtors nationwide. This ongoing desire for excellence as a real estate expert translates into superior service given to you, my client.

ASSOCIATE BROKER

Jessica Lami-VanTassell

I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley, surrounded by a family of determined entrepreneurs who built successful empires while overcoming numerous obstacles. From an early age, I learned the value of hard work and the belief that with dedication, there are no limits to what one can achieve.

My first taste of business came with a lemonade stand. I eagerly counted the $60 I had earned over the weekend, only to discover the importance of overhead, expenses, taxes, and savings when my dad guided me through the costs of each item used for the stand. With this valuable lesson, I realized the need to maximize profits and became fascinated by the intricacies of business. Supported by my family, I embarked on various sales ventures, including doggy accessories, a small clothing brand, and hair products, further fueling my passion for entrepreneurship.

Alongside these experiences, I had the privilege of working in our family-owned restaurant and assisting in the maintenance of rental properties they owned and managed. These opportunities allowed me to immerse myself in the world of business from a young age, for which I am truly grateful.

At the age of 18, seeking independence, I found a property management job that not only provided a paycheck but also offered me a 50% discount on rent. This became my gateway to the next chapter of my life, leading to seven years of valuable experience in multi-family and high-density property management.

In 2013, I decided to expand my horizons and obtained my real estate license. It wasn’t until 2018 that I fully embraced real estate as my profession and became a partner in Pristine Property. In 2021, I achieved another milestone by obtaining my Associate Broker’s License. I look forward to continuing to serve our family and friends in this industry.

Real estate has proven to be a fulfilling career, allowing me to assist people in achieving their goals, guiding them through important life transitions, and building remarkable relationships along the way.
